The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) delivers world-class research, learning and teaching that transforms the knowledge, action and leadership needed for more equitable and sustainable development globally.
The Development Office at the Institute is seeking to recruit a Grants Coordinator to support team and research and knowledge staff of the Institute.
The role involves facilitating the Institute’s work in successful fundraising, helping to ensure a timely, responsive, effective and efficient process for preparing proposals for external funding; liaising closely with staff across the Institute; and engaging with current research work, people, debates and partners.
Applicants will have excellent administrative and coordination skills and experience in one or more of the following - grant fundraising; writing funding proposals; administering grants once secured. Good research and analytical skills are essential along with good communication and English language skills. Applicants should have knowledge and interest in international development issues and some awareness of the funding environment for international development.
