Working for us

At IDS we aim to ensure that our core values based on respect, resourcefulness, excellence and inclusivity are reflected in the environment we work in.
Working at IDS offers a unique and exciting opportunity. IDS is home to researchers, knowledge workers, support staff and about 200 students.
IDS has a community feel and a level of staff involvement that we are very proud of. With community days, lunch-time seminars, research days, annual reviews, a staff council and research and teaching forum, there are various spaces to share ideas and take part in IDS life. We also have a social side to life here that includes our restaurant, common rooms, our own IDS Band and an annual pantomime.
We are situated on the University of Sussex campus at Falmer in the tranquil and beautiful setting of the South Downs.
