The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) delivers world-class research, learning and teaching that transforms the knowledge, action and leadership needed for more equitable and sustainable development globally.
The HR team at IDS are seeking to recruit an HR Adviser to provide an effective, efficient and professional human resources service to IDS staff and managers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, organisational policies and procedures and good HR practice. Individuals will also have the opportunity to take lead responsibility within the team for some specific areas of work.
Applicants will have their level 7/postgraduate CIPD qualification, or exceptionally, significant HR experience, demonstrating a sound knowledge of UK & EU employment legislation. Experience of dealing effectively with employee relations, using diplomacy, assertiveness and influencing skills is essential, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.
