Salary:  £26,464 to £39,528 per annum
Initial appointment will be in the above range per annum (depending on experience)

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) delivers world-class research, learning and teaching that transforms the knowledge, action and leadership needed for more equitable and sustainable development globally. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fundraising & Development Office at IDS who are working to develop a strategic and powerful approach to fundraising and development. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Philanthropy Officer to act as a focal point for ongoing prospect identification, research and targeted profiling for fundraising for IDS’ cross-cutting thematic Strategic Research Initiatives, International Development Mutual Learning Hubs, and scholarships. 

The successful applicant will have significant and successful experience in Philanthropy work and excellent knowledge and interest in development studies research. Individuals should have outstanding and effective communications skills along with the ability to influence and actively listen. This role requires a proactive self-starter who can deliver results in a fast-moving, changing environment and with solutions focus.
