The IDS Monitoring Evaluation and Learning team is seeking a Grade 6 MEL Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will involve managing a portfolio of MEL work for diverse research projects, leading in developing Theories of Change and Logframes, collecting and processing monitoring and reporting data and facilitating learning and reflection processes.  This is an opportunity to work across different areas of institutional work and engage directly with partners and funders with scope for methodological innovation and opportunities to apply a broad range of analytical and facilitation skills. 

Applicants will have a post graduate degree Social Sciences, International Development or a related field and have a thorough understanding of issues and methods relating to MEL and knowledge of issues related to measuring the impact of research and knowledge work. The successful candidate will have excellent numeracy skills with an understanding of standard data handling processes, and excellent written and verbal communications skills. Resource Management experience is essential along with significant facilitation experience.

Based at the IDS building on the University of Sussex campus in Brighton, we can consider applications for flexible working including hybrid / part remote working (2 to 3 days per week in the IDS building).
