Fundraising and Development Office Administrator

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) delivers world-class research, learning and teaching that transforms the knowledge, action and leadership needed for more equitable and sustainable development globally.

We are seeking to recruit an administrator to join the Fundraising & Development Office to support our critical functions (alumni relations, grants administration, partnerships and philanthropy). Responsibilities for the involve include; event and meeting administration, basic research and data entry, handling some FDO enquiries, database administration and communications administration.

Applicants will need to be friendly, pro-active, and efficient with strong team working skills to help provide a professional service to IDS’s current and former students, partners, donors, and employees. The appointment necessitates some degree of autonomy and initiative and the need to make decisions daily within the agreed standards.

Although IDS is a sponsoring organisation unfortunately we would not be able to obtain a certificate of sponsor for this particular post as the role does not meet the requirements (skills & salary threshold) as outlined in the Skilled Worker guidelines
